AFC+A & Sol es Vida partner on a 5-year initiative to plan and develop Villas del Sol Community Center as a resiliency hub, capable of powering workshops and trainings for Promotores Verdes community leaders
Under the guidance of AFCA’s Artivist, Educator and Muralist Malcolm Ferrer and Waldemiro Vélez Soto the project will be facilitated by 2 Promotores Verdes mothers, who will be trained to become the first custodians of the natural and cultural patrimony of the community, as well as the first mentors of fellow Promotores Verdes.
To advance the wellbeing and resiliency of the communities at Villas del Sol which since 2002 have struggled to achieve social and environmental justice under the leadership of Waldemiro Vélez Soto.
