To advance cultural and environmental justice, we must DOCUMENT the present and past efforts of those committed to this work. As the nonprofit publishing arm of Americas for Conservation + the Arts, Mandel Vilar Press (MVP) serves as a conduit of cultural exchange. We amplify the rich tapestry of multicultural literature, publishing and translating groundbreaking works on environmental justice, culture, and more. We elevate underrepresented and diverse voices of the Americas for a large English-speaking readership and play a vital role in maintaining a healthy and vibrant democracy.
Partnering with the most important independent book distributor, Consortium Book Sales & Distribution (a division of Ingram Publisher Services), ensures that our impactful publications reach a broad and engaged audience.
In addition to our publishing house, AFC+A supports independent artists through impactful initiatives like our Artivist Market, an online platform showcasing art with messages of environmental and social justice. The Artivist Market offers an opportunity for talented artists at all levels to share their works and promote their messages.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Mandel Vilar Press, a decade of advancing diversity and environmental stewardship through literature. For the past ten years, we’ve been committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and fostering cultural understanding. As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the powerful stories we’ve shared and look forward to continuing our mission of creating impactful change through the written word.
