AFC+A is a Latina-founded organization fighting systemic racism in conservation and creative spaces for 15 years. Through arts and culture, we advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and serve thousands of BIPOC community members. Our flagship programs include:
Americas Latino Eco-Festival (ALEF): Bringing together (or congregating) BIPOC leadership in conservation. Mandel Vilar Press: (or documenting) Amplifying diverse voices in publishing. Promotores Verdes Conservation Corps (acts as a moveable force or ‘boots on the ground’), empowering BIPOC communities in Denver and Aurora through outdoor recreation and climate action.
